Therapy Can Be Empowering

You know therapy might help, but it’s difficult to make that first call. You might be unsure about how therapy works, or how to find the right therapist. You may feel unsure about sharing personal information with a complete stranger.

It’s normal to feel hesitant about pursuing therapy. Many of my clients share how nervous they were the first time we corresponded. They also share how relieved and grateful they were that they conquered fear and took that first step to reach out.

Because reaching out really is the first step. It's the first milestone you cross when you decide to take control of improving your life and your relationships.

Types of Therapy I Offer

I am devoted to helping individuals, couples and families work through significant personal and relational issues. My therapy services include:

  • Individual therapy: One-on-one sessions explore those areas in which you would like to improve or make changes, including mental health issues, relationship problems, loss and grief, and more

Speaking with a professional can help resolve a variety of issues. Some may arise from normal life changes and transitions, such as job changes or dealing with an aging parent. Others may result from unexpected, perhaps painful, events such as divorce, the sudden loss of a loved one, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Some issues resolve quickly, while others take more time. Either way, my goal is to help you move forward, one milestone at a time.

Coming alongside my clients as they reach

their goals fuels my passion for the work I do.

How Therapy Can Help

Therapy is a place to feel safe, supported and cared for. The therapeutic process helps you develop new ways of thinking, coping skills and new tools to use in the course of your everyday life. It can teach you healthier ways of interacting with difficult friends or family members. It can also reveal what has held you back, and provides the space and time to heal wounds from the past or present.

My goals for my clients include developing a higher sense of self-worth; breaking free from shame; and, experiencing greater life satisfaction, more fulfilling relationships, and improved confidence to cope with life and achieve their goals and dreams.

Take the First Step

I am a firm believer that for therapy to work, we both need to feel confident in our partnership. For that reason, I offer complimentary 30-minute initial consultations, conducted in person or by phone, so we can get to know one another. To schedule your session, give me a call at (763) 237-2053, or send me an email.
